Providing food to people in need in our community - Nothing else matters. Each month 233,000 families, seniors and homeless persons in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties are fed by the work of the Second Harvest Food Bank, a non-profit organization. There are over 300 agencies throughout both counties that distribute food to those in need. Fresh fruits and vegetables are distributed by the Produce Mobiles that go out to low in-come areas. Volunteers are needed to help sort/box or bag donated food items and produce. Learn more at
