National Rebuilding Day-Alameda County

Rebuilding Together builds volunteer partnerships to rehabilitate homes and community facilities for low-income homeowners and neighbors — seniors, disabled, or families — so they can live independently in warmth and safety.

This event will take place in northwestern Alameda county, in or around Albany / Berkeley / Emeryville.

Please be sure to print the waiver below and bring it with you on the day of the event.

Releases/waivers:  1) Volunteer Agreement and 2) Medical Treatment Authorization for Participating Minor

Project Details:
Date: 4/25/09
Time: 8:30 AM to 4:30PM
Max number of volunteers: 100
Age restrictions:  14 and up, minors must be accopmanied by an adult chaperone
Type of work: Wall prep & painting, debris removal, light construction, yard work and general clean-up
Recommended attire: Long pants, long shirts, closed-toe shoes, we will provide a t-shirts, no headphones
Items to bring: All tools are provided for general volunteers
Meals provided: Coffee & light breakfast, Lunch
Beverages provided: Yes
Rain contingencies:  Rain or shine
Parking Available:  Street parking.  For many locations, carpooling is recommended.
Note:  We will be videotaping the event for news and promotional purposes
