Bay Area University Hit with Cheating Scandal

Santa Clara University dealing with a major cheating scandal and the FBI is now investigating.

Someone hacked into the school's computer system and changed transcripts and grades. The University says so far, at least 60 graduates and a handful of current students have had their grades changed.

"So all the grade changes were in the favorable direction to a better grade," said Provost of Academic Affairs Dennis Jacobs. "Some of them were minor from maybe a B to a B-plus. Others were significant from an F for example to an A."

The oldest change dated back to 2004.

Investigators say the hacking happened between June 2010 and July of this year.

Santa Clara University says no other personal information was compromised.
