Stow Beating Suspect, Suspect In Nevada

31-year-old Giovanni Ramirez -- arrested for alleged involvement in the beating of Giants fan Bryan Stow -- could be linked to another crime.

The Los Angeles Police Department arrested him last month in the Opening Day beating case. Now the LAPD says police in Nevada contacted them about a shooting from earlier this year.

Police sources tell the LA Times that detectives from Henderson, Nevada think Ramirez may  have been involved in a gang-related shooting earlier this year. Henderson neighbors Las Vegas in Southern Nevada.

Police have not charged Ramirez in the shooting, nor the beating of Stow. Stow remains hospitalized in a coma in San Francisco. He was beaten outside of Dodger Stadium on March 31st after a game between the Dodgers and Giants.

Police arrested Ramirez based on a tip from his parole officer. They are still looking for two more people. A  second man also beat Stow, and a woman who drove them away from parking lot, allegedly.
