Volunteer at the Second Harvest Food Bank in San Jose this Fall

Volunteers needed to help sort food at Second Harvet Food Bank

Food sorting at the Second Harvest Food Bank is a rewarding experience and a great chance to meet other Bay Area volunteers.

The Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara County has been providing services to the community for 35 years.

They are the single largest nonprofit provider of food to low-income households in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties and are the seventh largest food bank in the country.  Each month, Second Harvest provides food to an average of 176,000 individuals. Of those they serve, 67% are families with children and 12% are senior citizens.

Come by and help this great cause!
