Almaden Lake Park Weed Prevention March 25, 2009

Join NBC Bay Area on Wednesday, March 25 at Almaden Lake Park and help us preserve the lake's natural beauty.

This project entails spreading woodchips along trails and other areas at Almaden Lake park in an effort to prevent invasive weeds and brush vegetation from encroaching on the park's plants and trees.

Overgrown vegetation becomes dry brush that may fuel fires in the summer.  By helping to prevent weed growth, you're also reducing the need for chemical sprays to keep invasive plants at bay.

This project is great for individuals or small groups, but it's a school day, so it's for adults 18+ only.

Please be sure to print the waiver below and bring it with you on the day of the event.
