RAFT – Resource Area For Teaching on July 10, 2009

When you volunteer at RAFT, you give more than just your time, and the experience you gain is worth every minute. RAFT attracts the best people, and each person has a direct impact on the quality of our children’s education.

As a RAFT volunteer, you can be involved on many levels:

  • Working alongside other volunteers to help unpack, sort, and prepare a variety of donated materials
  • Demonstrating a hands-on learning kits
  • Supporting teachers and RAFT members by enhancing their RAFT experience
  • Assembling Education Kits revolving around science, math, art, and more..!!
  • Making a meaningful commitment with our full time volunteer opportunities

Project Details:
Time:  9AM-12 noon
Location: RAFT Sunnyvale Volunteer Center – 1160 Kern Ave Sunnyvale CA 94085
Age Restrictions: 12 and older
Type of Work: Sorting, packaging, counting, assembling, palletizing, recycling, disassembling, etc.
Waiver Required?: Yes, download it here
Attire: Casual (no open toed shoes, sandals, flip-flops Etc.)
Items to Bring: Gloves (optional)
Meals Provided: Light snacks
Beverages Provided: Water (vending machines available)
Additional Fees: None
Parking Available: Front, side, and back of building
Rain Contingency: all projects inside or covered
Note: We will be videotaping the event for news and promotional purposes
