Fresh Fridays is all about the idea that life is for learning, and why not do some of this learning in the garden and have a whole lot of fun too? All ages welcome! Come when you can, and leave when you need to - there's always a moment for the garden. Show up in your gardening clothes between 10am to 4pm at East Palo Alto Charter School, 1286 Runnymede Street. Check in at the front school office and indicate you are coming to visit Collective Roots - they will direct you to the garden. In this fun day of gardening activity in a one-acre organic garden, participants reconnect with the earth, growing fruits and vegetables, nutrition, green technology, community, culture, nature, etc. Many special projects and opportunities for ongoing volunteer involvement are available. Collective Roots partners with East Palo Alto Alto Charter School children, families, and community members from far and wide to provide a day long series of garden events and activities... every friday!
