    Battle of the Bays: The Backstory You Need

    Diwali, one of India’s most significant festivals, is the Festival of Lights where the lights or lamps signify victory of good over the evil with every human.The festival of lights is being celebrated all around the world and right in our own Bay Area backyard, Milpitas. Diwali is a five-day celebration that culminates with the Hindu New Year Celebration on Sunday, 27th October with decorative offering of vegetarian sweets and food.  

    The Diwali celebration in Milpitas will also include classical Indian art form, hand-crafted Diwali decorations, a traditional display of Annakut (mountain of food) made up of Indian sweets and  vegetarian dishes, all masterfully arranged, and celebrations for children often including games, food, programs, and other activities. 
    All community members are welcome to attend and participate in the festival.
