Clear the Shelters with Humane Society Silicon Valley

Asian Pacific America with Robert Handa: Dr. Cristie Kamiya talks about shelter medicine and the differences between caring for a homeless animal in a shelter environment, versus a private veterinary practice. (Published Monday, Aug. 14, 2017)

Humane Society Silicon Valley is joining Clear the Shelters for yet another year and is looking to raise the bar from their exceptional year last year! They're looking to adopt out 185 pets; 15 more than last year.

HSSV will be operating out of four locations this year on Saturday, August 19: Their main hub at the Animal Community Center in Milpitas, along with three other locations at Petco West San Jose, Petco Sunnyvale, and PetSmart Mountain View. All locations will be open from 10AM to 6PM.

In addition to the adoption fees being waived by HSSV, there will also be a street fair at the Animal Community Center, which will include food trucks and activities for kids!
