Cystic Fibrosis Research Inc.'s Wine for a Cure

Cystic Fibrosis Research Inc., or CRFI, is rising to the challenge of making a difference in the lives of those affected by cystic fibrosis by raising funds for research and education with their Wine for a Cure event at the Purple Orchid Wine Country Resort & Spa in Livermore. Cystic Fibrosis affects 30,000 children and adults in the United States and over 70,000 people worldwide. CFRI is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1975 and has been an important resource for the cystic fibrosis community.

You will get to enjoy the best wine that the Livermore wine country has to offer, as well as fine hors’ d’oeuvers, dinner, and music. Retired 49ers player Bill Ring will be in attendance, along with actor Todd Giebenhain who is living with cystic fibrosis himself. There will be an educational presentation about the disease and an exciting auction. CFRI will also be awarding the “Caregiver of the Year” award to Dr. Carlos Milla in recognition of his tireless and inspirational dedication to providing the highest quality care to children and teens living with cystic fibrosis.
