Our Lady of La Vang Parish presents the annual Health Fair featuring educational workshops to improve community health, and cultural performances to celebrate cultural diversity. CommUniverCity San Jose partners with Our Lady of La Vang Parish and others to host presentation to empower the community on understanding the new health insurance marketplace Covered California and the impact of the Affordable Care Act on the immigrant community.
The Health Fair begins at 9:00 A.M. and will provide free flu shots and free medical screenings for blood pressure, diabetes, dental, and vision until 12:00 P.M. Throughout the day, attendees can expect cultural performances from the Vietnamese and Latina/o communities, raffle prizes and free lunch. The fair is open to all community members.
