Homeless Pets Gift Wrapped and Delivered for Christmas

There is no greater gift than one that brings many years of love and joy into someone's life. This year Berkeley Humane will help bring this gift to surprised families by delivering dogs and cats on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning as part of their Home for the Holidays adoption promotion.

"We hope to place as many animals into loving homes before the end of the year," said Jeffrey Zerwekh, Berkeley Humane's Executive Director. "Holiday delivery will create a moment a family will remember for the rest of their lives and at the same time help save another dog, cat, puppy or kitten."

The volunteer elves at Berkeley Humane will make the process easy. Adopters can call into the shelter to schedule personal adoption appointments to meet the animals. Once the pet is chosen, an adoption fee is paid in order to hold the pet until delivery on either Christmas Eve or Christmas morning. You can make the holiday dreams of homeless dogs and cats come true by bringing them into your warm and caring home, and creating a Christmas your family will never forget.

When: December 24-25, 2017

How: Call to make an individual adoption appointment during the week. Adoption Center opens to the public on Friday, 12/23, and Saturday, 12/24, from 11am-5pm. Closed Christmas day.
