The Japanese Summer Obon Festivals are beginning to take place around the Bay Area. These events provide a cultural experience where family and friends come together to commemorate one’s ancestors while enjoying activities for all ages. There are many parts to the festival entertainment including game booths, food booths, music, and more. This event also jumpstarts the excitement for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo where dancers will use Tokyo 2020 branded uchiwas while performing traditional Ordori dances.
