The Japanese Summer Obon Festivals were kicked off last weekend and are continuing across the Bay Area throughout the summer.
Mountain View Buddhist Temple will be hosting their Obon Festival and Bazaar this weekend, Saturday, July 20, and Sunday, July 21. Join NBC Bay Area weekday morning traffic anchor, Mike Inouye, who will participate in this weekend’s festivities.
Don't miss the Maui-style Bon Dance on Saturday evening at 8PM and the Bon Odori dance on Sunday at 7PM where the Olympic excitement is kicked off! Dancers will use "Tokyo 2020" branded uchiwas in the traditional dances.
