National Running Day 2014

Get your running shoes ready for Wednesday, June 4th. The day is recognized nationwide as National Running Day. National Running Day is a celebration where people everywhere declare their passion for running. It is a coast-to-coast tribute to the sport; for longtime runners to reaffirm their love of running and for beginners to kick off a lifetime commitment.

Join Bay Area runners in the Rock n' Roll Marathon Series. The San Jose race will offer a half marathon and a 10K to promote fitness and a healthy lifestyle for all. Registration for the marathon begins Monday, June 2nd.

Celebrate with your local community in a hosted run. San Jose and San Francisco are two of the over two dozen locations where runners can meet up and earn a virtual finishing badge. If you cannot make the hosted run, sign up for a virtual run. Run at you own time and place and receive a virtual badge when complete. For both runs runners will be eligible for a National Running Day prize pack drawing.
