    A fifth day of desperate firefighting in California wine country brought a glimmer of hope Friday as crews battling the flames reported their first progress toward containing the massive blazes, and hundreds more firefighters poured in to join the effort. (Oct. 14, 2017)


    The recent Northern California Wildfires is recorded as the worst fires in California's history. The fires have caused serious damage, left many families with nothing and thousands of people are displaced.     - What to Expect when Returning to Areas Impacted by Fires

    Local Assistance Center (LAC) - The LAC is a one-stop local assistance center that will be able to help residents with a wide range of services when the immediate fire threat has passed. This center will help with services like insurance claims, short-term lodging, clothing, animal services, and clean-up information. The LAC will be open from 9 am to 7 pm daily, with the last entry at 6 pm so people have time to access all services available.

    Road Closures and Restrictions for the Sonoma County - Please try to stay off the roads, it is necessary to be able to leave the streets free to security vehicles. If you need to drive, proceed with caution. If you find a traffic signal with no light, proceed as a four-way stop. 

    PG&E Wildfire Response - This has updated information on all the gas relight process including estimated times of restoration and when people can expect to get a visit from gas service representatives.
