Oakland Animal Services is celebrating the adoptable dogs, cats, and rabbits waiting for their human soulmate with “Home Is Where the Heart Is,” a local event beginning in February. Local artists are gifting one-of-a-kind portraits of these special animals to their adopters. You can see the artwork at Farley’s East coffeehouse in Uptown Oakland.
On February 12, 2015, Farley’s will be hosting the adoptable animals and a portion of their sales from that night will be donated to Friends of Oakland Animal Services. If you have ever wanted to adopt an animal or just want to check out cute and friendly faces that need some love, join Oakland Animal Services for “Home Is Where the Heart Is.”
