“Still, We Rise” Pinays in the Arts Showcase 2018

San Francisco State University's Kappa Psi Epsilon Sorority, Inc. will host its annual Pinays in the Arts Showcase (PITA) on Friday, February 23.
This year's theme is inspired by the infamous Maya Angelou poem, 'And Still, I Rise'. The event started in 2002 as an open platform to empower pinays, women of color, and all who identify as a woman to be proud of their artistic passions despite the social norms and cultural stereotypes. Through the years the showcase has become a safe space for all women to express their individual struggle to rise above in the arts. Kappa Psi Epsilon Sorority, Inc. unites the Bay Area community to share, highlight and encourage creativity in music, art, design, animation, and dance. PITA offers food, local up-and-coming trendy clothing brands, a FREE raffle with ticket purchase and a good time.
Every year, Kappa Psi Epsilon Sorority, Inc. donates a portion of the event's proceeds to an organization in need. This year PITA benefits the youth program Pinay/Pinoy Educational Partnerships at Balboa High School.
Kappa Psi Epsilon Sorority, Inc. welcomes persons with disabilities and can make reasonable accommodations upon request. Please contact, president.kpsiebetas@gmail.com for specific requests.
