Experience The Future of Pop Music- Ensemble Mik Nawooj: A Hip-Hop Orchestra an industry social mixer & album release party for EMN on Saturday, September 6th, 2014, at Intersection for the Arts in San Francisco. This event is a celebration of innovation in popular music and culture.

This is a free event, expected attract 300+ guests, including patrons and purveyors of the arts in the Bay Area and across the nation including industry professionals & VIPs. The night will feature a performance by Ensemble Mik Nawooj, several talks from the reps mentioned, press Q&A, drinks & more.

Ensemble Mik Nawooj is a composer ensemble that performs the innovative music of Taoist composer/pianist JooWan Kim who injects Western European Classical compositional techniques into such genres as hip-hop, rock & pop, thus creating chamber hip-hop. Featuring a 7-piece chamber orchestra, 2 MCs and a lyric soprano, the group has been on ABC 7, MTV, NBC, NPR, chosen as a weekend pick in SF Chronicle, featured in SF Bay Guardian, SF Weekly & more. Most recently, EMN music director JooWan Kim has been commissioned to compose 6 variations on 6 popular hip-hop pieces from the year 1993 for Yerba Buena Center for the Arts 21st anniversary on November 7 & 8, 2014.
