Every 56 Minutes, a sexual assault occurs in California. Walk A Mile In Her Shoes is an event to raise funds and awareness to end violence against women. NBC Bay Area’s Marcus Washington will be the emcee at Walk A Mile In Her Shoes. He is lending his voice to the movement to raise awareness and funds for sexual assault prevention and survivor support. They’re looking for 1,100 men in heels. 1 for each survivor of sexual assault that YWCA Silicon Valley will serve this year. “Walk The Talk” with community members to help provide life-changing services to survivors of violence.
