The head of U.S. Park Police is denying that his officers violently turned on protesters near the White House to clear the area for a photo event by President Donald Trump

Federal authorities have charged four men in connection with a failed effort last week to pull down the statue of President Andrew Jackson near the White House.

As anti-racism demonstrators vandalize and topple monuments across the country, the president is threatening arrests and prison time. He said he will soon issue an executive order to protect monuments.
