12/20 Watch Oakland Group Sing it Out

The forecast is gloomy, so why not stay in tonight and watch a musical group from Oakland go for a national title on NBC. The group "Talk of the Town" made it to the Sing-Off finals.  The voting closed over the weekend and the winner will be announced Monday night right here on NBC Bay Area.

Here's a sample of their national television efforts.

Oakland's Chabot Space & Science Center hosts "Midnight Delight" today and tonight for a rare total lunar eclipse.  The Earth's shadow will begin to fall on a full moon starting at 9:30 p.m. Total eclipse happens at 11:40 p.m. The center will be open all night.

You may have to do it under palm trees, but since it is Christmas time that means there are lots of ice skating options around the Bay Area that are open seven days a week.

In the City, you can skate along the Embarcadero or in Union Square.

In San Jose, you can skate amid the Christmas in the Park extravaganza downtown and under California palm trees.

In Walnut Creek, you can skate within Civic Park.
