12/28: Monday is the Best Day For Foodies

Delicious crab, pork, and a movie just in case you're too full

SOOIE!: Terribly sorry to exclude all those who keep kosher, but all the pork eaters out there will be glad to know that Porchetta Mondays are back at Poggio. Every Monday the chef will debone a small pig, stuff it with herbed sausage, and raost it on the wood burning rotisserie. The dish is served with white beans with tomato and sage, all for $16!  Add a quarto of Chianti for only $7.50. [7x7]

GET CRABBY: Every Monday night through January, head to Oakland to get your fill of delicious Dungeness crab. At Crab Mondays at Camino, the restaurant will serve a three-course meal with minestrone, a half Dungeness crab and bay leaf ice milk for dessert. The whole feast is priced reasonably at $26. [7x7]

WHY SO SERIOUS?: If you've gorged yourself enough this holiday season, take a digestion break and watch A Serious Man at the Lumiere Theatre. In this dramatic comedy from the Coen Brothers It's 1967 and a physics professor has just found out his wife is leaving him. With couch-bumming brother, rebellious son, nude sunbathing neighbor, and diabolical grad student, the professor turns to three rabbis in his quest to become a mensch, a serious man. Catch it at 4:50, 7:20 or 9:45 p.m.
