1/26: Iron Chef Comedy

Plus the A-Rod of pianists and City Arts and Lectures

HUNGRY FOR COMEDY? Then Iron Comic is for you. Comedian Arj Barker will host five comedians at the Punch Line in San Francisco tonight at 8 p.m., who will get 10 minutes to come up with a bit based on audience suggested topics. Throw out the zany ideas and sit back and enjoy watching professional comics make a fool of themselves all to feed your appetite.

STEROID FREE MUSIC: The A-Rod of pianists doesn't need steroids to up his game. Cuban artist Alfredo Rodriguez is just that good and he brings his music -- with the help of Quincy Jones -- to Yoshi's San Francisco, 1330 Fillmore St., tonight at 8 p.m. Tickets are $14.

SOPHISTACTED ART:
Photographer, mountaineer, scientist, and explorer James Balog joins KQED's Rachael Myrow to record one of the Bay Area's best radio shows: City Arts and Lectures. The interview format style show in front of a live audience explores how the creative minds of artists and thinkers work.
