4/15: Getting Closer to Radiohead

Atoms for Peace, Passion Pit and King Khan & the Shrines.

RADIOHEAD IN THE FLESH: It's next to impossible to get a ticket to a Radiohead show whenever the British rockers come to town. And the story isn't any different when front man Thom Yorke comes to town with a different band. Atoms for Peace, which is made up of Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, play the Fox Theater in Oakland tonight at 8 and of course the show is sold out. But that doesn't mean you can't get in. Thanks to the powers of Craigslist, tickets are still available and if you are willing to sweat it out you might be able to snag a good deal.

ACCIDENTAL SOUL: The strange sounds of Mayer Hawthorne & the County open for Passion Pit tonight at the Warfield, 982 Market St. in San Francisco, at 8. Tickets are $29.50 and still available without a Craigslist email frenzy.

BOLLYWOOD PUNK: King Khan & the Shrines describes themselves as "a 10-piece soul inferno" and they are known to drop some crazy Bollywood (don't tell them that) style mugs. Check them out at Bimbos, 1025 Columbus Ave. in San Francisco, at 8 p.m.
