9/10- 9/12: Music, Chuckles and Chugs Galore

Motown music will never die. The talent and tunes of the past never get old and are ever-present in today's sounds. Spend some time reliving that era -- or just getting to know it -- with the Best Intentions Friday night. This band was founded just five years ago but you'll think you're in the heat of the 60s, 70, and 80s as you take jam at Courthouse Square in Redwood City.

Take in some laughs courtesy Craig Ferguson on Saturday night at Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco Saturday. This Scottish-born former punk rocker has enough done enough unique jobs in his lifetime to connect with just about everyone on a belly-aching laughter kind of way. He takes to the stage at 8 p.m.

Chug a few down at Brews on the Bay this weekend at Pier 45 in San Francisco. This celebration of beer features some of the finest local brews. The festivities run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
