9/23: Foreign, Free and Cute

Jason Falkner, Foreigner and Kina Grannis

In the spirit of Napster, only a lot cooler, Jason Falkner will play a free live show at Amoeba Music, 1855 Haight St. in San Francisco tonight at 6. The classically trained pop singer has been around since the 1980s, playing with bands such as the Jellyfish, the Grays and the Three O’Clock.

They are without a doubt hot blooded and they probably can't fight this feeling anymore but that won't stop Foreigner from playing the Mountain Winery, 14831 Pierce Rd. in Saratoga, which seems to be pulling every 80s act imaginable. Tickets are still available.

Kina Grannis got her start by winning the Doritos "Crash the Super Bowl" contest. Not only did she win a record contract but she won one of the coolest Hollywood stories around. The singer and songwriter will have her acoustic guitar in hand when she plays the Great American Music Hall, 859 O'Farrell St. in San Francisco tonight at 8.
