Ferris Bueller Hits the Big Screen in the City

Before Matthew Broderick was Mr. Sex in the City he was Bueller. Ferris Bueller.

Perhaps one of the greatest of the 80s masterpieces brought to us from the brilliant mind of John Hughes, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off ," is always on cable television -- and we're not talking about the television series debacle.

But for those of us who were too young to go to theater in 1986 to watch it, we have another chance to see the classic slacker high schooler in action on the big screen.

This Saturday "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" will be shown on a large screen at Dolores Park in San Francisco at 8 p.m. as part of the ongoing series Film Night in the park.

Get there early to claim a good seat and don't forget to bring your blankets.
