More than 100 San Francisco breweries are taking part in SF Beer Week, which is a 10-day celebration of the Bay Area's brewing heritage.
The week of beer bashing begins today.
More than 150 events are scheduled to take place between now and next Sunday.
That includes three festivals, beer dinners, other gourmet food events and home-brewing demonstrations.
If you want to get really serious about the festivities there is a museum exhibition about the history of Bay Area brewing also available to all.
First up? The Bistro Double IPA Festival is will start Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at The Bistro at 1001 B St. in Hayward.
A second festival, the Toronado Barleywine Festival, will take place at the Toronado Pub at 547 Haight St. in San Francisco.
The celebration will end on Feb. 15 with the Celebrator Best of the West Beer fest at the Oakland Convention Center, 1000 Broadway in Oakland.
All events are listed on the SF Beer Week Web site at this link.
And remember -- drink responsibly.
