Rummage Through This Massive Sale

It's all here anything and everything vintage, designer, unique

Chain stores just don't sell vintage Donny and Marie karaoke machines.

Demand may not be that huge right now. But the old school gadget is literally one of hundreds of thousands of items available at the White Elephant Sale to benefit the Oakland Museum.

This is the 51st year of the rummage sale. The Women's Board makes it happen and it is literally months in the making.

There is 96,000-square feet of donated stuff -- 17 departments with furniture, clothes, books, sporting goods. There are designer handbags, furniture and beautiful, vintage delicate China.

If you can't find it here it may not exist.

In the past, people have liquidated their entire estate here -- and it certainly shows.

The public is welcome to come shop this weekend from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.

The sale is in Oakland at 333 Lancaster Street.

In previous years, the sale has raked in over $1 million. And the ladies who run the place are full of stories too. Oh, and if it isn't gone by the time you get there ... the Donny and Marie gadget is $5.
