Outside Lands Blends the Old With the New

Two-day music festival announces summer line up

Last year Outside Lands reached back into yesteryear to find talent to play the two-day outdoor festival in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. This year the festival is following suit.

Tuesday, Outside Lands released its list of artists performing at the third annual music and arts festival and headlining the lists are legends such as Phil Lesh and Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead and Al Green.

But not only old hippies are in for some good music and good food. There is something for the young hipsters as well. Headling Outside Lands will be the Kings of Leon, Social Distortion, My Morning Jacket, Phoenix, the Strokes and the always entertaining Gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello.

Outside Lands will take place in Golden Gate Park on Aug. 14 and 15 and two-day tickets will go on sale June 2 and single-day dockets will hit the market four days later.
