Puke-In Protest Won't Involve Real Puke

Real puke, bad. Fake puke, all good.

The man behind the Dolores Park puke protest, says the event will not, actually, involve real puke.

Chicken John, aka John Rinaldi, contacted the Chron, to clarify the pukey details.

"It's a publicity stunt," he said. "A puke-in? I mean, do you believe that I could puke on another human being?"

The event has been organized to protest against the Recreation and Parks Department granting permits to food truck operators in the Park.

But fear not, there will be fake puke available for demonstrators. Chicken says he has purchased $750-worth of "novelty vomit" to throw at a cardboard cut-out of a food truck.

The puke-in will take place this Saturday, at 2:00 p.m. at Dolores Park.
