Philip Glass, tulips and Math Rocks

STAY CLASSY SAN FRANCISCO: Hollywood composer and performer Philip Glass will present his "Music in Twelve Parts" starting tonight at the Davies Symphony Hall, 201 Van Ness Ave. in San Francisco, starting at 5 p.m. Tickets can be had at the Davis Symphony Hall's Web site.

HOW PRETTY: Pier 39 presents its popular Tulipmania Festival showcasing 39,000 tulips in full bloom through out both levels of PIER 39. The festival is known for its dramatic tulip color combinations, as well as the abundant variety of tulips on display. There is no charge, simply show up at PIer 39 and enjoy.

DORKS UNITE:Contrary to popular belive, math is cool, at least according to some. Hey even Matt Damon likes math, remember "Good Will Hunting?" "Math Rocks" lets you check out the hands-on puzzles and activities at the Lawrence Hall of Science, Centennial Drive in Berkeley, and rock out.
