Touted as the "Premier Spring Alpaca Show Event" (leaving room, of course, to an even bigger Alpaca event in another season) the three-day event starts with Friday night's "Open Hospitality Barn" and ends with Sunday's Herdsire Service Auction with "some of the West Coast's Hottest, Newest Herdsires!"

Remember:  Alpacas are NOT Llamas, and don't you forget it.

Saturday, so... you didn't plan anything? Then improvise. Head to Pleasanton's Firehouse Theatre for the 2nd Annual Firehouse Teen Improv Festival. Improv is a style of unscripted comedy so if you think it's tough to stand up in front of an audience and say jokes, imagine standing up there and making the funny without a plan, or a safety net, and being a teen.

Big Ups. Go get 'em, kids!

Sunday is Earth Day. I encourage you to be curious about our planet and learn to better take care of it through opportunities like "CuriOdessy" at Coyote Point  in San Mateo. You can start by helping with the beach clean up, then continue with a visit to their animal friends, rescued from along the Peninsula and then head inside to explore scientific theory at the "Mistake Lab", learn about the "Lost Ladybug Project" and even pick up a treat as "Kara's Cupcakes" will be there too.
