Breast Friends: Jewelry Aids in the Battle Against Cancer

Designer Kathy Kamei donates her proceeds to help save our lovely lady lumps

Not that we’re trying to show you what you missed, but, well, okay, that’s in fact exactly what we’re doing.

San Francisco jewelry designer Kathy Kamei opened up her new fall collection during a special trunk show last Thursday at Chestnut Street boutique dress in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness day.

Kamei tells us female empowerment and her passionate outlook on living go into each of her pieces, made by Indonesian artisans she works with in Bali.

“It’s about sitting in your inner seat, sitting in your magnificence and listening to your inner voice,” Kamei says of the inspiration behind designs such as her bold, statement-making Saddle Cuff bracelet, pictured above.

Dress boutique donated 10 percent of the proceeds from last night’s event to the Susan B. Komen Foundation.
