Military Brides Offered Free Gowns

Military brides to-be are being offered free wedding gowns this week courtesy a group called "Brides Across America."

His & Hers Formal Wear in Brentwood is partnering with the group to offer the dresses to active duty brides or fiancés of servicemen, who may not have the chance to get their own gowns due to deployment, timing and economic circumstances.

At the event, which is being held both Wednesday and Thursday, brides and their bridesmaids can try on one-of-kind couture gowns which they can take home free of charge.

Brides Across America is a Massachusetts based charitable organization that focuses on providing free wedding gowns to those military brides that have not been able to have their dream wedding.

The group is said to have donated over 6,000 dresses to brides since 2007.

Donations of new to gently used dresses are welcomed and brides must bring proof of their connection to the military. You can visit the event’s website for more information.
