80-Year-Old Neldam's Bakery Not Staying Put After All

Oakland: A few months back, the Oakland Tribune reported that the historic Neldam's Danish Bakery after a close call over the summer that saw the original owners almost go under because of debt. At the time, it was stated that the new deal "gives Neldam's a clean slate," prompting its regulars to rejoice. Unfortunately, we're hearing that the one-year deal is just that, and won't be extended. According to the bakery, come August, they will either close for good or move to Emeryville, meaning this will be their last holiday season and essentially making the next ten months a farewell tour of sorts.
