Curbed Rumblings: Flying Books Above, Subways Below

It's Friday, and time to check in with the week's happenings at our sister site and your friendly neighborhood blog, Curbed SF.

1) That glorious Central Subway Plan? Lacking a lot of the "plan" part.
2) The corner of Broadway and Columbus—which apparently wants to be a plaza—is going to host the solar-powered flock of 23 flying, illuminated books seen above (via Artdaily).
3) Upon taking a tour of the much-hyped Cubix development, someone realizes that the dorm rooms studios there are really, really cramped.
4) Oh good: the Castro figured out a way to stop tour buses from stopping to gawk at the gays.
