Curbed Rumblings: Whole Foods Officially En Route

Taking a look back at the week that was at our sister site, Curbed SF.

690 Stanyan, at Haight Street [via Curbed]

1) Are you ready for a 25,000 square-foot Whole Foods in the Haight? Because that baby got approved last night with the reasoning that the neighborhood would "like to see a lot more of Joe the Shopper, and a lot less of Joe the Meth Dealer." Bonus: Team Curbed has the exclusive on the renderings.
2) The Transbay Tower got a little cheaper, but stayed just as ginormous.
3) Not restaurants, nor condos, opened up in the long-vacant two-story space on the fanciful corner of Powell and O'Farrell. Oh no, but Skechers did. Alleged rent: a cool $1 million. For more stories from Eater SF, go to sf.eater.com.
