Keller's People Start Tweeting

KELLERVERSE - From Thomas Keller's publicist comes word that he just "launched a twitter page." And with that kind of verbiage, we can be sure Keller's million dollar thumbs aren't really behind the first tweet. [EaterWire]

MISSION- Nombe will be building out its new snack bar over the July 4th holiday. It will allow passers by to drop in for a quick bowl of ramen or other snacks from the izakaya menu. According to the press release, "there will also be an outside window for take-out food service to the street, as it has been used for Nombe’s late-night (11:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.) menu on Friday and Saturday nights." BEERWIRE- Camper English bubbles over with beery news today. The Alembic now has a barrel-aged beer list; and The Monk's Kettle will launch a vintage beer list on June 18th. [Alcademics]

FOOD TV - From SFoodie we learn Andrew Zimmern is planning for an episode of his Travel Channel series Bizarre Foods in San Francisco. Apparently he's approached forageSF's Iso Rabins and Shirley Fong-Torres of Wok Wiz, but neither has committed yet. [forageSF via SFoodie]

SOMA
- The "steel fire orb flues" we described as part of the impending design at 25 Lusk sound ominous, but they're actually quite sleek and charming. We'll add in some preliminary menu items to round out this early glimpse: chilled melon soup with poached Maine lobster, pickled ginger, mint and champagne is planned as a starter; main courses may include grilled hanger steak with crispy sweetbreads and pancetta demi-glace; and you can try a habaňero chocolate truffle cake with raspberry sorbet for dessert.
