HAYES VALLEY - - It's kind of a big deal that John Maher is leaving Cav after he just received three stars for his food from Mikey Two Stars. Signore Lucchesi reports that as of July 6, the dinner menu as we know it will be no longer. They are also going to change their hours and become more of a retail operation. MICHELINWIRE - Global Michelin Guide director, Jean-Luc Naret, is about to "go into hiding" to decide who makes the cut for the 2011 guide, to be released this fall. If you want to torture yourself by trying to figure out who's in, you can try to decipher the local inspectors' Twitter feed. This year the number of entrants in the Bib Gourmand section, outlining places "you can enjoy two courses and a glass of wine or dessert" for less than $40, will increase from the 62 mentioned in the 2010 guide.
