North Bay NIMBYs Target Denny's

Windsor residents speak out against the 24-hour diner possibly coming to town

The latest Bay Area town to express outrage over a potential chain restaurant opening is Windsor.

Just last week Sausalito blocked a Peet's coffee store from opening in town and now the latest North Bay target is Denny's. A group of Windsor residents are protesting the opening of a yet to be announced Denny's restaurant from opening in the city.

The protest was prompted by an ad Denny's placed on Craigslist looking for cooks, busboys hosts and bookkeepers.

Windsor's protest seems a bit off base. The city is already home to McDonald's, Little Caesar's Pizza and Carl's Junior amongst other national chain food stores. At least Sausalito had an excuse for its denial.
