Tenderloin: Coming off yesterday's heartfelt memorial at the John Barleycorn, we were reminded of another old-timer that went down about a year ago: Original Joe's. The fire-damaged institution is probably one of the most asked-about projects on the tipline, but it's still very much in a stasis as far as a resurrection goes, with little to no action evident. Original Joe's has been mum, but last we heard, the plan was still to reopen at some point, though it's clear that something—insurance? economic climate? a new plan?—has delayed a possible comeback.
