The Build Out: Phase Two at Michael Mina's RN74

Back in July, we took the first sneak peek at RN74, Michael Mina's new project within the confines of the Millennium Tower. We're calling that Phase One of The Build-Out. Now, more than three months later, we bring you the sequel in two parts. Today: the bar and surrounding atrium.

Millennium Tower: Welcome back to Michael Mina's RN74. Given the projected April/May opening, we're only six months away from an anticipated debut and things have been moving along quickly, with sheetrock going up as we speak and everything. The expansive wine program will be one of the stars at RN74, and the Enomatic machine will probably be a focal point in the bar area, which spills out into the adjacent atrium. In addition to the 110 seats in the dining room, there will be 18 seats at the bar and another 32 in the atrium, where the signature will be a huge art wall (see above) depicting California oak trees. Tomorrow: the dining room, back of house and more on the design.
