The Dish: Good Pizza, Spuntino, Java Beach, MORE!

All openings, big and small, get served up on a regular basis by The Dish. Know of a new restaurant or bar that we've missed? Do pass along your tips and sightings.

1) SoMa: Open right across the street from the Fed Building is the latest from Joie de Vivre: in the new Good Hotel, it's called Good Pizza. JdV's corporate chef Jennifer Cox developed the menu, and it has somewhat of a pizza-centric greatest hits theme. You've got the traditional Italian options (margherita, bianco), the American (pepperoni, sausage), the Californian (pesto chicken), and then the downright eclectic (potato & bacon or apple walnut & Cowgirl Creamery fromage blanc). The pies come in two sizes (12" or 16") and base prices range from $15 to $23. Also, breakfast is served from 7am to 11am. Corner of Seventh and Mission, (415) 628-8381 [EaterWire]

2) Cow Hollow: Plywood vet and Ottimista Enoteca spinoff Spuntino opened this morning for the first time. It's a gourmet grocery with takeout options, cheeses, salumi and eventually, wine. 957 Union Street, between Laguna and Buchanan, 415-931-6410 [EaterWire]

3) Polk Gulch: Back open after a month-plus hiatus is Cafe Zitouna on the corner of Polk and Sutter. The menu has a few tweaks but nothing major. 1201 Sutter Street, at Polk Street, (415) 673-2622; website [EaterWire]

4) Outer Sunset: Last but certainly not least, perennial Sunset fave Java Beach today opened its new offshoot on Sloat, right across from the zoo. From what we're told, it's pretty similar to the Great Highway original, though this one has ice cream. So there's that. 2650 Sloat Boulevard, at 45th Avenue; (415) 731-2965; website [EaterWire]For more stories from Eater SF, go to sf.eater.com.
