The Dish: La Boulange, Aurea, Lilah Belle's

All openings, big and small, get served up on a regular basis by The Dish. Know of a new restaurant or bar that we've missed? Do pass along your tips.

1) Russian Hill: On Polk Street, right on schedule, the new La Boulange has opened in the old Little Bobby's space on the corner of Green. By now, the La Boulange empire is a well-oiled machine, and the latest addition is pretty much the same as what you've known at the other outlets. The high ceilings are nice touch in the new space and the hours are expanded too. 2300 Polk Street, at Green; (415) 345-1107; website [EaterWire]

2) Nob Hill: A rarity as far as these things go, Aurea has opened ahead of schedule in the Stanford Court Hotel. Fournou's Ovens has been put out to pasture and is now a private events venue and in its stead is Aurea. The 130-seater is in the lobby area of the hotel, Quince vet Jeffrey Surprise is the chef, and the restaurant vows that "the majority of produce and meats sourced from within a 50-mile radius of the hotel." Yes, we are curious as to what constitutes a "majority" too. 905 California Street, at Powell; (415) 989-3500; website [EaterWire]

3) The Castro: On the corner of Church and 18th, Lilah Belle's opened this weekend. Like we discussed earlier, it's a health/fast food eatery by popular personal chef Traci Higgins. The proximity to Dolores Park should play well in theory for Lilah Belle's, and on a broader note, look for the health food-fast food combo concept to gain (even more) traction across town. Bonus: SF Weekly's food blog has a nice little write-up of the opening day. 3801 18th Street, at Church; (415) 255-9473 website [EaterWire]For more stories from Eater SF, go to sf.eater.com.
