Today, the Board of Supes will consider the proposal that would give $1.5 million more to Yoshi's to help pay for its '07 construction costs, in addition to $90,000 to Sheba Lounge and $251,000 to Rasselas: "The money set aside for the renovation may now be used to bail out other struggling businesses in the area ... Yoshi's, which opened in 2007, has already borrowed $5.7 million from the city and has not yet started paying it back. But the owner has pleaded with city leaders for another loan, saying it is an emergency."
