Prop 1A is nigh! After several months (well, years) of political wrestling, the ballot measure to send $9.95 billion toward the construction of a high-speed rail line between San Francisco and Los Angeles is less than two months away. The Chron threw their front page at the mega-proposal today with the same old facts: 2.5-hour ride, $55 one way, booming population, most in favor, some not, etc. etc. The new Transbay Terminal is kind of anticipating the fast train, so if the measure doesn't pass, the brand new building might feel a little lonely.
