California accounted for more than a quarter of the nation's foreclosures this financial quarter. On the nation's worst-hit list of cities, six of the top ten are CA towns. Oakland holds the #10 spot; San Francisco, #51. Fortunately: September defaults were down from August numbers, which seems to indicate that new laws aimed at at least slowing down the foreclosure process appear to be working. Soldier on, dear mortgage-holders. [ABC7]
